We are Xcel S Care has a primary mission to advance scientific knowledge about the language and social communication impairments in autism/ASD and related disorders. We carry out studies on all ages using behavioural, brain, and cognitive measures. We have an outstanding team of Xcel S Care, who strive to carry out our research mission with rigor and compassion.
Our goal is to understand the range of abilities, the developmental patterns, and the brain systems that may explain why people with autism have difficulties communicating with spoken language. One of our current studies includes evidence-based interventions for children.
Studies carried out at our Center, and with collaborators at neighboring Universities, are funded by the National Institutes of Health, other federal agencies, and the Simons Foundation for Autism Research.
